Can you see Lindie Lou? She is in the car behind me. We were in the PumpkinFest Parade in Anamosa, Iowa. We are celebrating HARVEST TIME. Have you ever been to a pumpkin fest?

Thank you Anamosa for inviting me to your annual PumpkinFest and Parade!!!!

At the Anamosa PumpkinFest and Parade, Team Lindie Lou experienced what children's book author Jeanne Bender calls "Lindie Lou Mania."

"I was humbled and in awe at the warm enthusiastic welcome I received by the city of Anamosa," said author Bender.

"I played the Lindie Lou Song on a loud speaker and the kids went crazy. They danced, clapped and waved with big smiles on their faces."

Author Bender sat in the front car with Ronda and Pete, two of the characters from the Lindie Lou Adventure Series book, HARVEST TIME. The next car hosted mascot Lindie Lou, a life-size costume of the main character, an adventurous puppy, named Lindie Lou.

"When we drove by the children, many of them ran up to our cars," said Bender. "We had to stop several times because the children wanted to hug us and high-five mascot Lindie Lou. Pina Publishing's editor, Nancy Kiefer wore the Lindie Lou costume.

"I will never forget the faces of those adorable children. They were smiling at us, waving at us, hugging us, and yelling Lindie Lou, Lindie Lou," said Bender. "It was an author's dream come true!"

My granddaughters were so happy to have met you. You signed a bookmark for Chasidy at her school, however she had it stolen on the bus. She has been sad and in tears about it. You have encouraged her to start writing. Again thank you for coming to Anamosa, Iowa.

My 11 year old nephew loves this book the best and he don't even like to read. If this book can make him interested in reading than it definitely has my HEART ♡
